Ohh my god ❤

So on month 6, would they be short on their bills? Since they still put the $5200 in the LOC? That will leave them with 231 + the $1,100 extra expenses. What do you do about that?
@bartonylee88 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Can i pay my debts off from the home line of credit account? Is it treated like a bank checking account?
@Chemicallybondedformations · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Should have invested that money. No wonder people are poor nowadays.
@VladPetre-r5n · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
how do you handle the expenses on Month 6 since you've put the whole income towards paying off the remainder of the 10k chunk?
@ravinvasudev · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Every time I see this video, I get excited to pay of the mortgage as early as possible because she's right, it's pure math but then I think and basically struggle to translate it to my dear bank people. I do not understand what products to opt for. All banks have their respective fancy names. And most importantly they seem to be confused (obviously) as I'm talking gibberish because they do not want to tell me.
@RetNavyChiefBTC · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Thanks for the refresher lesson on my junior high math class. I will stipulate that after many conversations with folks younger than I. The education is desperately needed. I choose to be “stuck” with a 3% mortgage. I have earned much more by investing that mortgage payment. You represent interest in a less than accurate way. If I did your math in reverse my retirement account would be in the hundreds of millions. This is bad information. It’s math alright. Ridiculously dishonest math. Yeah, get another loan to pay down your mortgage. While there are a few salient points scattered about this video. Most or this video is contrived BS based on the length of mortgage loans.

I have 200 Thousand to put on a house the house is 300 thousand I don’t want to pay over $1100 a month should I buy or invest it, and go to a senior apartment 😢 how to pay off the balance

Absolutely love your channel. I've learned so much, and your videos have been instrumental in helping me help others on what not to do.
@Resonate-ck1ce · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Did I get this wrong or …isn’t still $4969 left to pay off from the LOC but with the salaries coming in the last approx 5000$ is just interest free, but one still need to use 5months more to pay it off in full, so not 6 months, but 11? Or?
@damonsisk4270 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
She missed $4100 of expenses in the 6th month….😂
@TheCanDStore · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am

@mia-i6q2z · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
This is all very confusing to me, unfortunately. It feels like I'm failing in math class again and failing at life!
@FlatOutTruthPsalms19 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
It seems like many people in this comment section, don’t actually understand what she is teaching here, it makes perfect sense, and isn’t “the same” as just making an extra mortgage payment. Unless you are able to do at least 10% of the ORIGINAL mortgage amount EACH year, and extra payment here or there won’t make a huge impact
It doesn’t matter the amount of the total mortgage amount, but the formula works…ten percent each and every year or the ORIGINAL amount, on top of your regular payments, will pay off that mortgage in around 7 years. And the more frequent your payments are the quicker it will come down as well. Shoot for, at minimum, Bi-weekly payments …way better than monthly, or every four weeks.
Weekly is best but that’s not ideal for everyone

You are amazing
@hotteaawarmblanket6318 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
This is almost exactly how I paid off my 6 year car loan in 3 years.
@amyk1655 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Would this work for a mortgage with a 2.5 interest rate?
@Rowdy1965 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
My bank only lets me pay $250 a month towards the principal cuz banks are in business to make money. 😮

Maybe a strange question, but is that possible for non-us citizens?
Thanks a lot .
@florencehendrick4781 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
God bless this lady, this is a brilliant plan indeed.
@CreditCorrectly · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
It gets fully paid off in month 10. The concept is good, but the math isn't right here. Also, why use the LOC for all your expenses and not just the mortgage? Would keep it simpler. Instead of all $4100 coming out of the credit line, just take out the mortgage and pay in the $1,100 (cashflow) + $967.16 (mortgage payment) monthly.
@reebgogs · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
What am I missing here??? Using the numbers in the example, you'll pay off the mortgage faster and pay less money by just applying the $1100 to principal each payment period. Is there some advantage that I'm not seeing?

this is not correct. not by a long shot. I also looked at two of her other videos and they each contained errors.
@M_Y_Wolde · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
I don’t think her math is accurate. She claims you can pay $10000 off with $1100 cash flow in 6 month. At 6 month the couple will still have to take out 4100 for expenses. They will need at least 4 more month to completely pay off the 10000
@ceylontea5877 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Today's money to get that results on 600k mortgage you need pay 3500$ extra on A $2800 monthly payment so you need to $6000 mo.
@_Information_ · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Might have to watch this a few times to understand.
@LesOuefsBrouillés · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
In my country the maximum you can overpay without penalty is 10% of the mortgage.
@jz6526 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Hi! How does one decide if it's better to use a HELOC or pay more in principal directly from one's cashflow to one's mortgage? I am 6 years into my current mortgage and trying to determine if it makes sense to apply this approach. Thank you!
@sebnels · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Thank you for your great wisdom good idea
@jjscherman5400 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
I honestly hope no one follows this advice. This kind of content can get people in serious trouble. The sad thing is people will watch this and just believe its true because they saw it on social media.
I don't know if she is just bad at math or purposely trying to mislead people. The LOC in this instance isn't paid off in 7mths, what does the family just stop having monthly expenses?
If you have extra cashflow to spare pay it directly against the mortgage or better get an offsetting account and pay it there so you have the cash spare in case of emergencies, don't take out a higher interest loan just so you can make a lumpsum payment, you'll just pay more interest, compared to committing the same repayments to the mortgage.
@colordarmstadtiumpsychiatristr · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Even at current interest rates, you could be investing in the stock market and make more, plus then have a built in emergency fund.

@CraftyKarakken · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
This is very fascinating mathematically however most people myself included likely would take that $10,000 loc and blow it on stuff I don’t need.
@InsaneTrickShots · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
Her method won’t work. Even if her math was correct, it would cost nearly 5k in LOC interest alone to pay off 9 months quicker than just making an extra $1100 payment each month…. Don’t fall for this! She must work for the banks and want dumb people to take out LOC for no reason!!!
@zangetsudx1 · November 4, 2026 at 8:32 am
I still can't understand how you got $117 for the interest. How did you calculate this?
