The USDA home loan is a great loan for low to moderate income borrowers who don’t mind living a further out from major cities. This loan provides 100% financing with no down payment, so this would be a great loan for a first-time homebuyer or anyone that may not have the necessary funds to buy a home.
There are 2 types of USDA loans – The guaranteed loan & the direct loan. Each one has different requirements but could be a great way for you to become a homeowner.

I want to buy a few acres land with a house in it for investment purposes as well as using the house as my primary residence and I am willing to put some down payments, can I still use USDA direct loan?

Thank you for this video! If we're able to at some point we're planning to refinance with a USDA loan. We were supposed to have one when we bought our house but it turns out not all lenders are familiar with them so we were told the house didn't qualify despite living quite rural and having the correct type of foundation. I wish they would listen and do a little research before telling people they're wrong.
