In this video I go through a step-by-step tutorial on how to calculate your monthly mortgage payments given 3 things: the initial amount you borrowed, the interest rate you agreed to, and the loan repayment period
By playing around with the numbers, you will be able to clearly see how each factor affects the total interest you pay back the bank (or to whoever loaned you the principal)

That $23k swing from a 0.3% rate change really puts it in perspective, makes the whole rate-shopping headache worth it. Btw have you seen, thecalcu has a mortgage calculator too, would love to hear what you think.

Some banks keep the loan period fix and adjust the monthly payment amount (installment). How to adjust the sheet in this scenario, where there will be no reduction of month?

I take mortage loan 1000000. Shall i pay yearly part payment i. e. Yearly 50000 sir then principal amt will decrease?

Jeff, it would be nice if you could add the escrow account to the sheet. Keeping track of insurance costs and taxes is important being the expenses change YoY. Thanks for the sheet.

I have an impound account or escrow account. These tables aren't working for my type of account, and I can't find any videos on how to add an "escrow column" to my table. Can you make a video on how to do that?
